Popular Routes

Trenitalia offers five different types of trains, but the most popular routes such as Rome-Florence, Rome-Milan, Milan-Venice, Florence-Milan, Rome-Naples and vice versa are served by Frecciarossa and Frecciargento trains. Both are high-speed trains that travel between major cities such as Turin, Milan, Bologna, Florence, Rome, Venice and Naples.
It takes about an hour and a half to reach Rome from Florence; a little over one hour to get to Naples from Rome; about three hours from Rome to Milan; less than 40 minutes from Florence to Bologna and about two hours from Venice to Florence.
