1. Nijo Fish Market Sapporo

Commercial activities began in Nijo market over a century ago. The first set of people that start selling in the market are fishermen from Ishikari Bay. They started selling fresh and dried fish in the market.

2. Tsukiji Fish Market

Tsukiji fish market is one of the largest wholesale markets in japan and the world at large.

Maximum of 120 people are allowed into the inner market in a day to witness the auction. A first batch 60 people are allowed into the inner market before 5.A.M and the second batch of 60 people are allowed into the inner market around 6.A.M.
Before mid-day, no visitor will be allowed to enter the inner market instead they will be encouraged to visit the outside segment of the market. The outside segment comprises of retail stores and restaurants that cater for the public need.
