The afternoon guided tour does not cover St. Peters's Basilica, but you are free to explore on your own and your guide will point you in the direction of the best things to see.

• The cloakroom staff will accept bags and personal belongings, irrespective of the material or dimension, with the exception of clothing items, hats, and portable umbrellas. It is obligatory to deposit suitcases, backpacks, and containers larger than 40 x 35 x 15 cms, bags and backpacks that are cumbersome (except those carried on the shoulder and less than 15 cm from the body at its highest point), spike-tipped and medium and large umberellas, walking sticks (except those required by disabled visitors), tripods for cameras, and video cameras
